I am a reader first, a listener next, and then a writer.

A believer in the power of storytelling, with an interest in narrative non-fiction, I write about people and places, culture and food, while dabbling a little bit with poetry and photography. I am interested in literary and travel journalism, happiest working where words and wandering intersect.

I am currently at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism for my M.S. I also have an M.A. in English from the University of Mysore. I have experience working in digital media, covering travel, hospitality and culture, and publishing.

A repository for most of my work, this site is also the answer to the many many, “You should start a blog,” that have been sent my way. I sincerely hope you enjoy my stories :)
